A redshirt sophomore from Oakland, California, Omar broke through during the 2025 season, appearing in all 12 games for the first time in his career and setting personal bests with 20 tackles and 2.5 tackles-for-loss. His season included a forced fumble in the 128th Big Game that was returned for a touchdown, a sack against SMU, and a four-tackle performance against No. 9 Notre Dame to close out the year. A two-sport standout at Oakland Technical High School, where he also led his team to a 2021 Oakland Athletic League basketball championship, Omar pairs his athletic drive with a commitment to academics as a Science, Technology, and Society major.
