LOS ANGELES, Calif., September 11, 2026 — SteelPeak Sports, a division of SteelPeak Wealth focused on serving the unique needs of athletes, is proud to announce the addition of CJ Campbell Jr., graduate running back at Duke University, to our family of athletes.
Campbell is originally from Kaplan, Louisiana, and played his high school football at Bay High School in Panama City, Florida, for head coach Keith Bland. He carried no recruiting rating out of high school. He signed with Florida State, redshirted as a freshman in 2021, and was named the program’s Offense Scout Team Player of the Year. He returned from a preseason injury to play the final six games of 2022 and appeared in 10 games in 2023. He transferred to Florida Atlantic in January 2024, started 11 games, and earned Third Team All-American Athletic Conference recognition. He spent the 2025 season at Rutgers.
In 2026 Campbell arrived at Duke as a graduate transfer, entering his sixth season of college football at his fourth program. He is pursuing a Master of Management Studies at Duke’s Fuqua School of Business while he plays. A sixth-year athlete carries a set of decisions most people meet years later: how earnings are taxed and structured, what to save, and how to prepare for the transition out of the sport.

We’re honored that CJ has asked us to help him work through those carefully, with a long-term view."
Campbell has earned recognition at every stop. He was named Third Team All-American Athletic Conference in 2024, placed on the Doak Walker Award watch list before that season, and given honorable mention American Athletic Conference Player of the Week for his game at Tulsa. In 2025 he was selected to the Senior Bowl Top 300 and the Shrine Bowl 1000. He has been named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll, and he was Florida Athletic Coaches Association Class 4A District 2 Player of the Year in high school. He has appeared in 31 games across Florida State, Florida Atlantic, and Rutgers, with 12 starts, carrying 212 times for 1,144 yards and 14 touchdowns and adding 41 receptions for 469 yards and three scores. CJ wears No. 0 for the Blue Devils, the fourth program of a college career now in its sixth season and the one where he plans to finish his graduate degree.
